Join master horseman and international exhibition rider Paul Dufresne in a special two-day clinic that will improve your horsemanship skills from the ground up, providing a foundation for success in all disciplines. Learn innovative techniques to improve your horse’s well-being, attitude, movement, and performance to positively impact your partnership with a relaxed and willing attitude, confidence, and the keys to achieving collection, lightness, and impulsion.

Cost:
$450 + gst for participant with a horse
Spectator/auditor: $50 per day
Demo: $15 for spectators who are not participating in the clinic with a horse (free for clinic participants)
Clinic topics
- Tapping, lateral flexion and releasing the poll
- Building a foundation (ground play, dealing with biting, kicking, trailering, tying, etc.)
- Applying foundation preparation to various disciplines (halter, riding, driving, western & classical dressage)
- Leadership while maintaining friendship
- Modifying behaviour with sound horsemanship and operant conditioning techniques
- Training for courage (equine & human)
- Training for lightness and impulsion, pressure without contact, bending and releasing the poll, jaw-flexions and other FCD techniques suitable for any type of dressage or equitation.
- Learning to apply riding movements while negotiating obstacles (Working Equitation / Trail)
